The HSRC Occasional Paper Series reflects the Council's Research Priority Areas, branding the identity of each area.

Occasional Papers provide a quick, easy and immediate way to add to debates, disseminate interim research findings, and discuss them with other researchers. These works-in-progress may develop into journal articles, chapters in books, etc.

The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) Publishers has introduced a new occasional paper series as a means of disseminating information on the organisation's research output.

HSRC plans to develop the series in conjunction with the Research Priority Areas (RPAs) of the HSRC and to brand the identity of each through the series.

The HSRC's Occasional Papers series will furnish Council researchers with quick, convenient vehicles for making timely contributions to debates, disseminating interim research findings, and otherwise engaging with the broader research community.

Publications in the various series flow, in general, from works-in-progress, which may develop into journal articles, chapters in books or other final products.

Seeking efficencies, HSRC prints the papers on demand, and posts them for download online via the Council's website.
