KLI Calls for Papers in Advance of June 2004 Regional Congress on Industrial Relations

The Korea Labor Institute has announced an agenda for the Fifth Asian Regional Congress of the International Industrial Relations Association, scheduled in Seoul for 23-26 June 2004.
The Agenda consists of four tracks related to under general theme "Dynamics and Diversity: Employment Relations in the Asia-Pacific Region," including:
* Human-Resource Management;
* Human-Reource Development;
* Labor and Social Problems; and
* Industrial Relations in the Asia-Pacific Region.
The program should provide insights and perpsectives from both developing and developed countries.
Conference organizers encourage the submission of all types of papers, including theoretical research; empirical and case studies; and policy discussions from scholars, practitioners and policymakers around the world.
KLI encourages both IIRA members to and non-members to send the Program Committee their proposed paper topics.
The Congress will also include three special sessions -- a workshop for national labor institutes; a workshop for prospective scholars; and a workshop for practitioner circles. These special sessions will provide participants with an opportunity to share their knowledge and information. Additionally, organizers will arrange a poster session for communication papers.
