EAGER Website Showcases Output from African Research Networks

October 2, 2003

Website provides the focus for a network of African policy professionals: Includes functioning links to research papers by African scholars, links to several centers of African studies, and Web resources about Africa.

The Project on Equity and Growth through Economic Research (EAGER), funded by USAID, has been in place for six years. The active phase of the project ended in 2000. A large number of organizations, described in the "Collaborators" section, work to implement the Project.

EAGER seeks to accelerate economic growth with equity in Sub-Saharan Africa by effectively applying research results to public policy. Unlike past efforts, EAGER has tried to produce research results that can actually be used by decision-makers by using research methods and researching topics that interest both local researchers and policymakers.

Papers available through the "Publications" this page have resulted from EAGER research and dissemination activities.
