IIIS Announces Conference -- "Politics and Information Systems: Technologies and Applications"

Acknowledging the ways in which Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have transformed societies, conference organizers encourage submission of papers providing research results, solutions, and problems related to applications of ICT in Politics and Society.
IIIS invites
* practitioners and consultants to present case-study papers and innovative solutions;
* private firms to present political information systems and software-based solutions;
* public servants are to present case studies, purpose-developed information systems, as well as innovative ideas and designs;
* political and social scientists to present research or position papers on the impact and the future possibilities of ICT in Social systems and political processes;
* politicians and political consultants to present problems likely resolved by means of ICT, or solutions likely improved by different approaches and design in ICT.
Conference organizers will entertain proposals for entire panels or invited speakers, and encourage panels bridging study and practice, as well as those crossing disciplinary boundaries.
Please submit paper/panel proposals no later than 15 June.
