January 9, 2003, Ottawa, 20 December 2002
by Canadian International Development Agency
In September 2002, Canada's International Development Agency released "Canada Making a Difference in the World," laying-out new priorities in Canada's foreign-assistance policies. Specifically, Canada's aid efforts will concentrate on countries with strong rule of law, and focus resources on priorities identified by recipient governments. Following this policy shift, Canada will increase investments in a select number of priority sectors in Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Honduras, Mali, Mozambique, Senegal and Tanzania.
